Would it be doable to give him 5-6 days rest for every start for the rest of the year? How many spot starts from questionable pitchers would they have to use?

They have 5 off-days the rest of the season, so they'd need to insert an extra starter 5-6 times.

Bundy had 10 Strikeouts tonight for the 2nd consecutive game (a career high.)

78% of the outs that Bundy recorded (14 out of 18) came via the Strikeout and the Groundout.

Fittingly, the final out that he recorded was a Strikeout of ........ Boog Powell.

According to Steve Melewski, Bundy is being skipped entirely this time through the rotation, and won't pitch again until August 22 or 23.

Good!  He's at 140 innings after pitching 109 last season.  The rest of the rotation has picked up quite a bit from where they were mid-season.  No matter what they do, he's going to exceed last year by at least 50 innings and probably more, but they have to protect him when they can.

I like it. Protect our future Ace. If Bundy were to get hurt while we chased a 2nd WC with this roster I don't think my heart could take it even if we had 6 Lowthers, 3 Liranzos, 6 Fenters & 4 Breazeales ☹️

This shows our immediate need for one more starting pitcher.  Who is being shopped?  Miggy, Feldman, Chatwood

I also think it's a good move, though I'm a bit surprised they're stretching his rest period out that far.     We have to keep the long term in mind, plus he seems to come back strong when getting extra rest.
