Right. The team isn't going to spend on top pitching talent and its proven they can't develop it either which is why the best course of action would be to deal Britton and Brach for major league ready starters. They've shown they can develop relievers so I'd have a revolving door where they trade relievers at peak value to replenish the rotation with young talent.

or c) sign random washed up pitchers or whoever will take a 1 year deal.  Some day it will work, just like the lotto.
