Boneheaded Plays

I mentioned this in the "Our Relievers Suck" thread, but I thought it deserved more notice.

I was at today's game.  It was good, and well-played for the majority of the time.  Yes, some walks were frustrating, and lack of range hurts, but it was so deflating to see such a terrible baseball awareness play by Tim Beckham.  The double clutch when he wanted to throw home instead of 1st for the FINAL FORCE OUT OF THE 8th INNING was the biggest boneheaded move I've seen in a while.  I couldn't believe what I saw.  It sucked the air out of the ballpark.  It could have been a tie game going to the bottom of the 8th instead of a 4-run deficit.  And all those runs were "earned" even though they shouldn't have scored.  This is ONE reason (of many) that this team is in last place.  It's a big piece of why our pitchers aren't better.  The poor fielding, execution, and game awareness are killing this team.
