I'm happy for him, the team and us fans, but I'm still nervous about his arm. Obviously having him start every 5th day makes the team better. There's a small list of pitchers that have been able to get by without the surgery...I hope he's one of them. -

The Yankees signed Coby White a Tampa DFA'd pitcher, he's got very low ERA in the minors except this year. I hope the MFY didn't get a steal -
Watching this team play defense is one of the once experience you can have as a baseball fan. They do just about everything wrong. Forget the massive amounts of errors, but it's all the double clutches, lack of handling close plays, lack of arm strength, lack of ability to turn a double play, missed cut off men, cut off men in the wrong place, guys not covering a base. U G L Y. Oh, and remember when I once just stuck Harif Frias as the #75 prospect for his good numbers in the DSL? Yikes. Watched him tonight with Delmarva. He should never have left the FCL. No command, not a plus pitch, with a lengthy slinger delivery that does not suggest he will ever have either. -

I haven't lived in Baltimore/DC area in a long time, but as someone who visits a fair amount my impression these days is... Don't drive into DC if you can avoid it. Take the DC Metro whenever possible. Or is this not possible or convenient for some people when it comes to Nats games? I've never been to a Nationals game so I don't know from experience. Driving into downtown Baltimore is fine and still really the only option for most people since Baltimore public transportation serves very little of the suburbs. Are most people in agreement or are there other takes on this? -

Hays has certainly had some struggles but he's a decent LF'er and can cover CF on an as needed basis. I expect him back with the O's tomorrow. -

It will be good drama discovering how many pitching adds Elias opts for. Grayson and Wells unseating Baumann and Akin are easy but then the arm that goes upon the acquisition of any upgrade is Webb or Cionel, or Albert Suarez becomes an easy choice if the league figures him out. McDermott and Strowd are maybe also near equal to current Orioles bullpen pitchers as 12-13 options for a 5 game series. Digesting the Grayson move I do have a feeling from May 15 to July 31, one or two of the Orioles top tier arms will have something. Aside from Felix's TJ, Roster Resource has got nothing but inflammation for the current injury set. It would not entirely shock me if Means or Irvin were dealt away similar to how Cashman did that one summer the Yankees evaluation was Jordan Montgomery wasn't strong enough for their tournament roster.
