If Hernandez doesn't crack our top 10, things have really changed for the better. Personally, I have him in there.

I really wanted to put him in there, I think he is a very good prospect. However, I couldn't justify to myself putting him in front of any of the other 10 guys.

When doing a top prospect list, is it more of a ranking of potential and who can contribute at a high level in the majors?

I would believe a list of who has the highest ceilings over who is more likely to reach their potential would be vastly different correct?

The trick is finding a good combination of both potential and likelihood to reach that potetnial.

How about Rowell?? IMHO his got to come out of the top 10 this year. Not to say he can't find his way back in, but these things are a snapshot in time and today is Aug 18, 2008 - so he's out.

Not on my list. Hernandez is 4 years older and only one league ahead. Again Rowell's potential is too good to drop him out of the top 10, IMO. He's only 19 and is probably playing in a level that is too advanced for him.

Oh lord, I forgot all about Zagone and Polanco. You forgot (I think) about Spoone. Tony's top 30 this year will be much more impressive then last year's top 30, that's for sure.
