Miguel Castro plans to resume facing live hitters this week in the Dominican Republic.

Castro has had a long layoff from game action, with his last Grapefruit League appearance coming on March 6, but he's continued to train and throw bullpen sessions. Even with no clear plan for when the 2020 season will begin, Castro is trying to stay ready. The 25-year-old posted a 4.66 ERA with 71 strikeouts and 41 walks over 73 1/3 innings with the Orioles last season and was set to serve in a middle relief role prior to the shutdown.

I found it peculiar that Castro signed his $1.05 Million contract the day after he was robbed at gunpoint ...... sometimes truth is indeed stranger than fiction.
