The second one doesn't make sense so the correct usage is who.

 

As to the OP, I'm beginning to think this season is going to go down more like an WBC expo than a season.

The question was about “who did they hire”.

You would phrase this as “did they hire him?” So whom is correct.

Buffalo or Rochester would be kind of neat. But there are factors that we don't know about -- like the costs to the BJs, lighting quality, quality of the off-field facilities, setup for TV -- that may push them elsewhere. A lot of empty ballparks out there.

With Florida the issue would be the heat unless the Jays would play home games at the Rays or Marlins home stadium. Their spring training facility is in Dunedin, FL which is a 40 minute drive from Tropicana Field.

They had already made backup plans in Buffalo (to some degree). Makes more sense to play at their affiliate than somewhere else.

There shouldn't be any indoor games. Sure don't want to add any.
