I'm rooting for Means with all he has been through, and it's not like we can't give him lots of chances to succeed. Let's hope he turns it around soon so it's not a lost season for him.

Struggled, threw 29 pitches before getting his first out.  Wasn't all him, some bad defense, but he wasn't sharp and couldn't put anybody away.   GIven that he hadn't pitched in almost two weeks, I don't think Hyde had a pretty quick hook to protect him.   Get him back on a schedule, work between starts like normal, and see where he's at Friday or Saturday.

I would be a lot more worried if his stuff was terrible. Also been dealing with a delayed start to his season and loss of his father.

I'm seeing good movement on Lopez's pitches, rather than nibbling. Impressed so far..

I think umps are getting sick and tired of the chirping on borderline pitches. The second strike to Soto was a ball but it wasn’t the worst call I have ever seen.

Way this season has gone we are far from done today. I hope we either come back - obvious- or at least stay away from our big arms in the pen.
