Chance Sisco is hitting .296/.406/.667 for the Syracuse Mets.   Only 10 games, but it seems the change of scenery is serving him well so far.   He’s homered in back to back games.

Somehow, some way, Asher Wojciechowski is pitching for the Yankees right now.

Yermin Mercedes, the 28 year old ex Oriole farmhand who was an April sensation for the White Sox, then slumped and got sent down to AAA about 3 weeks ago, has decided to retire.

That’s pretty bizarre.   Guy made peanuts for years, and just scored about $275 k, and has reasonable prospects to be called up again.  Very odd time to quit the game.

It appears now that while he said on social media he is retiring he hasn't put in his papers yet.  Didn't get along with LaRussa, who publicly called him out for a misplay on the field, maybe he wants out of the Chicago org.
