I went to a Nats game last night and Maikel Franco was in the lineup.   He scorched a ball that one-hopped the wall and I’m thinking it’s an easy double.   Then I look at Franco and he’s chugging towards second at the speed of a tortoise.   The throw beat him easily and he made one of the most pathetic, awkward slides I have ever witnessed.   I do not miss the guy.

I didn't mind him.  I mean, he wasn't great but he was also a pickup made in spring training so it's not like there were great expectations there.

I have to admit though, I didn't think he'd be playing in the majors this year.  The fact that he's doing it for the Nats makes me laugh.

Bat has cooled off a bit after taking a Trea Tuner backswing to the head the other night, but a nice pick and tag here on the throw. Giants ended up winning by 2.

Looks like the worst case scenario was avoided with Manny’s injury.

Went 3-4 and fell a triple short of the cycle. Giants ended up winning 12-10 and he had an RBI double too.

Wynns has been quite a story this year so far.   And, it seems that the Giants always get a lot out of the ex-Orioles they pick up.
