I noticed that Luis Ortiz, failed SP prospect from the Schoop trade and proud owner of 8 ER in 5.2 IP for the O's, has made it back to MLB as a reliever. He's done well in a small sample for the Giants last year and Phillies this year. I would have assumed he was out of baseball.

Trey Mancini looks like he might potentially be finished.  HIs bat is fairly weak this year.  -.6 WAR

Elias must of felt that Mancini was nearly finished.  Dodged a bullet not signing him.

BA and OBP are fine, but SLG about 100 points below his career average.  That’s a severe power outage.  Still, Trey is on a two-year deal, so he’ll be given plenty of chances to right the ship.

Quick look at the numbers shows him with 5 HR, 8 runs scored and 9 RBI.  He doesn't seem to be the only problem.

I'm guessing with a 10 and 45 team there are about 20 problems on the 26 man roster.

If he feels like he is done, he really should get into broadcast work if it interests him, I think he'd be great.
