Tomorrow’s pitchers?

So. Who’s available tomorrow? I applaud Hyde’s bullpen usage. He used everyone but LeBlanc, Sulser and Wells, but he tried to avoid using anyone for too many pitches, in case Lopez needs an early exit.

Armstrong threw 18. He’s out

Plutko threw 20 pitches. He’s out.

 

Valdez threw 16. He doesn’t throw hard so I don’t know how many pitches he can fling.

Scott threw 12.

Fry threw 13.

Could any of those three pitch again tomorrow?

I think with Thursday being a day off, all three back end guys will be available if needed.

By the way, who's starting on Friday against Oakland? I lost track with the off days and Kremer being sent down.

Lopez is currently lined up for Friday.  Then I suppose it's back to John MEANS BUSINESS.

Bruce Zimmermann complete game shut out, we won’t need the bullpen

I think at this point it will need to be a blown out before Armstrong and Wells are used in a game.   Armstrong has been bad and needs time in a blown to get back to his normal.  Wells has not pitched since April 11th and I would think he would be rusty when used.

I think the other 7 relievers should be available today with a day off tomorrow.

Bruce has turned into the #2 pitcher in the O's rotation.

I just had this vision of a public service announcement.  All of the Orioles position players, one by one, shown on camera with a knowing and concerned look, sun coming up behind the bleachers... in turn they each say "we're all pitchers".  Pan over to Stevie Wilkerson Pat Valaika... "I know how hard it is to be a Major League pitcher today.  Sometimes you're expected to throw 10, possibly 12 pitches in a single game, and then even come back and do that tomorrow or the next day.  But as position players we want you to know: we're here for you. If it's 12-3 in the third inning, we have your back.  We all had to pitch in Little League, many of us in high school.  We'll finish it out for you.
