By playing baseball.

While Buxton has sat on the IL for 2/3 of the season so far and for at least another month or two.

It's all scheduled.  Palmer mentioned a few weeks ago Ben would be coming back when July started, and he did.  Right after college baseball ended

At some point there may be some overlap, where JP is doing TV and Ben doing radio.  Dont believe I've ever hard Jim on the radio but in past seasons I've heard Ben.
