Not for long if he pitches well for us.

Started as a 21 year old in 2019.  Also pitched briefly for 3 innings in the Australian league in 2020.  I'm sure there's a story there.

I don't see why. He is under team control and will still be cheap in arbitration. Could trade him next year or maybe we will be good and want to keep him. Unless anyone is giving up top prospects that would upgrade our system I would not be giving him away.

Traded Galvis saved 500K

Traded Armstrong saved 275K

Claimed Hartman will cost 190K for the rest of the year if he is on the major league 26 man roster.  Zero cost to the  major league payroll if he is optioned.

Sounds like the Orioles got a good return for a player who won't be an Oriole in 2022.
