What to do about Judge

When he bats against us it always feels like he can hit any pitch within 3 or 4 inches of the zone out of the park. Guy is just a monster. I hope that guy the Yankees drafted this year with similiar height doesn't turn out the same way.

On the other hand, it may ultimately be more important to learn from when we did get Judge out last night. Baker threw him seven 98-100 mph four-seamers and then got him on a very good 89.4 mph cutter below the strike zone.

Also, Stanton went 0-4 with 3 Ks.

It's not such a lost cause that we have to walk or otherwise give in to them all the time.

Maybe he meant 60 million/year for 10 years? But that seems excessive, even for Judge.

Yeah, 60 mill per for ten years was what I meant in jest, and it was excessive for both Judge being so frustrating to play against and the fact it would probably take an excessive offer to get him to come to Baltimore, all other things being equal.

Baker is looking like a different pitcher.  100mph looks good on him.

Yes he does. Was last night the first one he's thrown so hard?--and for seven straight 98-100 mph, well-located pitches too! If that's the result of some guidance from Chris Short, then he's a...magician LOL. And to think that Baker has been the weak link in the 'pen....

I don't think he's thrown harder than 95-96.  The higher velocity last night combined with better command is awesome to see.  Knock on wood the increase in velocity is due to mechanical adjustments and not overthrowing.
