It is a little hard to understand we have completely green rookies starting AND finishing the most important game of the season.  The being tired argument is getting a bit damn old.

Yeah but this is what everyone wanted. Stowers! GuNnAr! Hall! Vavra! C’mon Elias, promote everyone we’re in a playoff push!

I’m not sure why they decided to throw a one-run game.

Because they play another one in 30 minutes.  You don’t use one of your top 3 guys in a game your trailing.  We still don’t know what Lyles can actually do today.  He might only be able to give us a few innings.  If we tied it up that would have been different story.

Somebody will need to tell me what DL Hall did to deserve to be pitching in a 1 run game? What has he done to be in a high leverage situation. Hyde should have some real explaining to do. This was Perez' role. Hall was scuffling in AAA since mid-August yet he's pitching high lev?

The blue jays offensively are just flat out more talented than the Orioles.

This.  Look at their lineup.  Look at ours.  Hell, look at Boston’s.  There is a big gap in pure talent.  We just need a couple of really good hitters in the off-season.  And people who are okay with walks.

You try to win the game at hand first. You don't bring in a rookie who has never pitched in a high leverage situation pitch on a one run game.

This is partly on Hyde. Why is Hall pitching on a high leverage situation? What had he done to deserve to be in this game down by just one?

He was pretty electric on Saturday (against a bad lineup, yes). But this idea that in the span of a couple of weeks they're going to train him to be a relief pitcher and come back from one day's rest to help the big league bullpen always seemed a little half-baked.
