Nm just saw line up.. Chirinos starts 3 out of 4 games. Perfect

Stowers is playing game 2.  Maybe they worried Gausman would eat him up.  Vavra’s issue is his bat isn’t working and teams know he isn’t going to hurt them deep so they aren’t  afraid to throw strikes.  That said, in a DH it makes sense to have a selective guy like him in the lineup.
