The Orioles announced that catcher Mark Kolozsvary has been outrighted to Triple-A Norfolk.

Amusing.  After all of those machinations, the end result is one catcher on the 40-man roster (Adley) and two catchers (Kolozsvany and Bemboom) at Nofolk.     The entertainment value was priceless!

In fairness, I’m not sure I understand all of the waiver wire journeyman catcher hoarding, but in the end, it is what we figured it would be. Whatever. Onward and upward.

Do players qualify for insurance or get some sort of compensation for every day they are on the 40 Man Roster? Maybe that would explain why a couple of these scrub catchers were added to the roster for short periods?
