Orioles will have 3 games on Peacock this year

Orioles vs. Braves in Atlanta (Sunday, May 7) is the only MLB game this season scheduled to be simulcast on NBC as well as Peacock. Orioles will have two other games on Peacock this season: at Chicago Cubs on Sunday, June 18, and home vs. Minnesota Twins on Sunday, July 2.

MLB: We want to promote our game as far and as wide as we possibly can.  We really want to draw in as many viewers as we possibly can.

Also MLB:  We're going to broadcast our games on like 437 different streaming platforms in order to piss off as many people as we possibly can.

Flip side is there are a lot of younger folks who have ditched cable/satellite completly and get all the TV they get from a combination of various streaming services.   They don't get MASN or ESPN.    This might expose some of them to MLB that they wouldn't otherwise be exposed to.

I would recommend everyone get Peacock for the new Natasha Lyonne show, Poker Face. It’s so good

So last year these Peacock games all started at 11, 11:30, or noon so they could have an exclusive window for at least the first part of the game.   Other MLB teams weren't allowed to play before 1:35 on Sundays.   Is that still the case?

On a related note, Verizon/Fios is offering some rebates right now (free 2nd cable box, free DVR, etc.) if you upgrade to the TV package that includes MASN.  I was able to upgrade without increasing my bill.

The Apple TV games were unwatchable with the sound on. I specifically remember a three inning discourse (during which virtually no play by play happened) about the Yankee's facial hair policy last season. Absolutely brutal.

And yet the camerawork and visual presentation of the games were stunning.   I don't know if they used a higher resolution than most televised games or what, but it was really sharp and noticable even on my non-state-of-the-art TV.
