The most disturbing thing about Adley that I have seen is that he really doesn't have anything close to elite exit velocities. I don't think he has the raw power to be a good DH/1B.

I'm afraid like Wieters, expectations were too sky-high. From what I have seen so far, Adley looks more like Buster Posey lite.

Putting things in perspective, he was hands down the right pick in 2019 draft. Bobby Witt and Abrahams would not be helping this team.

For year 1.5 in big leagues, I'm perfectly happy with what Adley is doing. Do I wish he hit more bombs? Sure. I wish everybody hit more bombs. 

You can find his season subjectively disappointing for your own wild expectations, but objectively? No. He's objectively having a fantastic season for a catcher.

It seemed like Gunnar made a dramatic improvement once he became less passive at the plate and started attacking early strikes. You get the feeling that Adley enjoys going deep into counts and running up the pitch count, but it wouldn't surprise me to see him sacrifice patience at some point and starting to drive the ball more.

I still would like to see them move him down in the order..go to 3rd or preferably 4th.

How weak an offensive player will Adley turn out to be?

.268/.378/.411

Only 21 xBH in 339 PA's

His numbers don't play as a 1B/DH

None of the 2019 top 10 are exactly lighting the world on fire.

Corby Carrol as the #16 pick is having an MVP/ROY season

Those numbers don't play at First Base but people still want Mountcastle and his sub .700 OPS to be our starter there. 
 

Adley is a mild disappointment so far.

Adley loses out on the second ballot and won’t be the AS starter.

Really stupid how they do it but I will say that Heim is more deserving.

You can call it ballot stuffing, but I voted for all of those Ranger players and felt it justified based on the stats

Heim definitely deserved it

I didn't realize Jonah Heim was an Oriole. As far as stats, Heim doesn't have that much better stats than Adley.  Heim is batting .279 and 11 HR and Adley .268 and 10 HR.
