McCann activated Stowers optioned

Treatment of Stowers continues to be confusing but this move makes sense short term.  4 LHP in a row Cortes followed by three Oakland LH starters.  McCann needs ABs and will likely DH/alternate with Adley.  Need a 3rd catcher as insurance for this week.

Given use of Vavra and flexibility of others who can play the OF (Frazier, Mateo) not sure Hays or McKenna both stay if neither hits.

Stowers has been sitting because the other outfielders need the playing time.   Stowers will go to AAA, get his bat going and be back with he O's as needed.

The O's have more players that deserve to be in the majors than spots.   This is actually a good thing because injuries and slumps happen.  Look what happen to Tampa last year.   Something like 15 players on the IL.

They have more players that deserve to be in the majors than spots and yet BemBoom is still on the roster.

If McCann needs ABs he can get them at Norfolk on rehab. This is inexcusable.

Insurance for what?

If McCann is healthy there is no reason for Bemboom to be on the roster, when would you want to play him?

If you DH Rutschman and ph for McCann.  Very limited use but so was Stowers.

I agree that it’s good that the O’s have quality depth.  I’m not sure I see having Benboom over Stowers on the roster, but I’m not sure it really matters.   Neither would play much unless an injury happens.
