I'm glad that they did. It really was a help to us like I believed it would be. If they were really trying to put their best foot forward, they would have started Luzardo. But good on them for taking it easy on us...lol

It does solve the mystery of why some players have the patch on the left or right arm. I appear to be right about something for once. Blind squirrel finding a nut comes to mind.

Reading between the lines, I think that Jim Palmer is probably going to either retire after this year or scale back his schedule significantly due to age and health.   And Ben will probably become the primary but with his other commitments maybe he doesn't want to do more than 80 or 90 games a year.   So they are starting to audition various people to see who they want to phase in starting next year.

I would not be surprised. I like Olson overall. I'm certainly willing to see if Devo improves but he just hasn't impressed so far.

I'd like to see Olson or Roberts get some more reps. I'd really like to see them bring back Caleb Joseph for a try too.

He didn't have a first pitch GIDP last night.  He had 2 K and a first pitch double.
