Santander has a .905 OPS versus LHP so far this year. I’m not surprised that he is both in the lineup and batting in the top half of the lineup based on that.

Considering the series win is secured, I have no problem with giving Cedric Mullins a rest day and also letting Gunnar DH. It's a perfect opportunity for that and to give guys like Urias and McKenna some playing time.

With that being said, it would have been a good opportunity to give Kjerstad some experience vs Big League left handed pitching too. He needs to develop and he's not doing that by sitting on the bench.

Have you watched any games recently?  Santander has been slumping severely and couldn't hit water falling out of a boat.  I don't care what the season stats say.  He's swinging at pitches that are a foot out of the strike zone.

For the past week, he’s had a .775 OPS vs. LHP.

Would you like to revisit your position?

Does one good game change anything he said?

Yes, because his position was completely based on a short term slump and was full of recency bias.

This would make sense if he was talking about cutting him.

But he was talking about giving him a day off because he had been poopy lately.
