That really is the only other possibility, and even still, he will probably have to put some time in towards the bottom of the order to show he can get on base for Gunnar and Adley.

Adley is defensible as a leadoff hitter but Gunnar is better.

Get used to it folks. It was clear this was going to continue. Not playing him on Saturday was a huge red flag which is why I was so upset about it.

The Orioles are coming up with every excuse not to play Cowser….oh wait reverse splits for a righty….oh no, hays and mountcastle hit a righty well in a small sample.  A good team needs to rotate players and not play 1-2 war players everyday.

It's early and all, but Hays is a pretty easy guy to sit once in a while so Cowser can get some innings. I'm not sure what the expectation is for Cowser, but he has to play in order to show something.
