Why are we throwing pitches outside when the right side of the field has a big gapping hole because of the shift?

Well, this is not going as planned. Somebody remind me how long a leash this guy is going to get? I think Povich is doing pretty well, and Suarez isn’t doing terrible… or maybe he is. Either way…

Povich would be out after the fourth because of all the pitches he throws and then Irvin would be in.

And a changeup no less when Irvin was pumping 94mph on the hands.  Struggling with a couple of Adley/Irvin pitch sequences.  Earlier in the game, Irvin hung curve to Devers that he took to warning track, but again was pumping 94mph on Devers hand in first AB and he couldn’t do anything with it.  May be the case that need to revise Irvin pitch mix given his new velo and movement.

Irvin is actually making some good pitches tonight. Doesn't seem to be high velocity hits. The highest velocity was probably Devers' fly out to CF.
