Last year at Bowie he was 109/288 (37.8%).   This year he’s at 21/64 (32.8%).   So, that’s progress.  He’s always going to strike out a lot.

I like this guy based on his name alone. Will be interesting to see next year if there's any potential for some of these AA guys to get called up assuming they are ready.

k rate is still a concern but like the progress.  He only has 2 stolen bases which is a bit surprising to me.

Fabian is on a nice little heater.  After hitting .227/.325/.379 in April, in his first 5 games of May he’s hitting .381/.435/.952 with 4 homers.  That’s raised his overall line to .264/.350/.517.   His K rate hasn’t moved, with 7 K’s in 21 PA in May.

A couple weeks later, Fabian is slashing .261/.336/.487.   The K rate is up a little, at 34.5%.   Still, not a bad line.

Isn't K rate based on plate appearances, not AB's?

Really exciting player for me, with all these tools.  If he could just get that K rate down 5% more...

Yeah, based on 41 K and 137 PA, I come up with 29.9%.

Yes it is.  I must have read the wrong column when I did that calculation.  29.9% based on PA, definitely moving in the right direction.  In May, Fabian is hitting .302/.350/.623 with a 26.7% strikeout rate.   That’s very encouraging.

Another dinger tonight and OPS up to .848.  He will get one more PA but no Ks & 1 BB through his first 4 PAs.  He’s officially got my attention.
