They scored 5 runs in the 8th last night. They have scored 2 runs in the other 21 innings of the series. One of them was unearned due to an error. This offense is horrendous right now.

If this team can't figure out how to hit good pitchers there's no point in even going to the playoffs

Yeah I'm guessing he's in the lineup because Mountcastle is banged up.  Otherwise he wouldn't be in there.  

This team really needs Holliday to get his swing back and it needs Mayo to come back and start hitting -- even he's only the DH.  I can't imagine Eloy Jimenez staying hot.

They do get a bonus for playing the extra games.
