As Ben McDonald would say the only thing hurt is his feelings.  Mayo will get at bats.  They aren’t going to be everyday unless he goes on a heater.  The manager is going to lean down the stretch with the better defense as he can.

I don't get it, for one, how is he going to get accustomed to major league pitching if he rarely sees it. Also, you're up big late, against a terrible team, get some of your best players out of there, imagine the meltdown if Santander or Henderson got hurt batting in the bottom of the 8th in a blowout when you have extra bench players.

Not sure I would call an at bat against the White Sox as major league experience but I do agree get Henderson out, Santander and whoever else you want.
