Francisco Liriano's brilliant winter

Twins lefty Francisco Liriano beat Rockies righty Ubaldo Jimenez in a playoff game tonight in the Dominican, extending his streak of post-season innings with a 0.00 ERA this winter to 22. Right now, Liriano looks nothing like the guy who went 5-13 for Minnesota in 2009.

He joined the Escogido club in December and allowed a couple of runs in his first inning of the winter, but now he's gone 32 2/3 innings without allowing an earned run.

Here are his regular season & post season numbers combined:

Not too shabby. Would be nice to see him flashing that 2006 form again against everybody but the Orioles.

He was hot in Spring Training as well before getting lit up like a Christmas tree when the season started. That guy was an awesome talent, I hope he gets back to that elite level and is thrown exclusively against the Red Sox and Yankees.
