Welcome to the dilemma of Jeremy Guthrie. He throws a spinner slider for strike one. He throws a simply nasty slider for strike two. He throws a spinner slider for a very long home run. Three straight pitches, all the same pitch, and they were awful, awesome, awful.... How can that happen? How can a pitcher in the majors throw the same pitch three straight times and not bury the third pitch. That is basic pitching for these guys. It is just really odd...

What does bury the pitch mean?
