I’d be doing a strict platoon with O’Hearn. Mountcastle was consistently awful against RHP last year as well. Kjerstad could DH on days that O’Hearn is at 1st. -

Mateo is hot right now and I hope he gets more playing time until he cools down. This is probably his "month" of 2024. I've come around to Mateo being a good utility player. I would like to see him get more time in the OF. I would much rather see Mateo in RF than O'Hearn. -

Hot off the presses, @wildcard takes a few dozen plate appearances, draws massive and completely unwarranted conclusions from them, and slaps a clickbait headline on the whole thing. -
It's pretty clear that Rutschman's throwing is not a positive for him. Pretty amazing how good pop times have gotten when a 1.97 is 33 percentile. Accuracy, as @Frobby pointed out has never been his strength. His throwing has slowly gotten worse. -

My main thought on the subject is there is no consequences to calling a bad game. Tony Kemp has 3 bad weeks of baseball, he is cut. An umpire can continue to have bad games and nothing will change. I would implement the challenge system done extremely fast with consequences. If the umpire gets 3 consecutive challenges wrong he is replaced at the end of inning. If you are replaced a certain number of times then you are placed on probation.
