Youk owned him last time on a home run, and Youk was up next after AGon. Also, you don't want to work him too hard. Matusz tires easily and will start to throw meatballs and long doubles after he hits a wall. It's better to yank him on a positive note -- a strikeout, no less -- and help build up his confidence.

Plus, you can be pretty darn confident in our top relief staff -- O'Day, Strop and Johnson -- to get the job done, regardless of what our offense does here.

If it's still a 1-run game after BOT 7, I think this would be a good idea. If we score, spread out the work and let Strop in... he MAY yield a run, but he wouldn't yield the lead if we score.
