    • How much does it actually matter?  In the playoffs, how often does the team with the best rotation on paper actually win the series?
    • Kinda slow around here lately.   Maybe a Dragon Ball Z reference will spice things up.  Heh. https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/todd-monken-lamar-jackson-unlock-super-saiyan-version
    • What is Snell really? This isn't 2018 anymore. he's nothing better than the "5 and dive" guys that we already have. We don't need another one IMO. We need a real impact starter. I think we can and should set our sights a lot higher than the Blake Snell of 2023.
    • Anything is possible during this transitional time, but as I wrote earlier, I think they could gamble as you said. They spread things out in past drafts, and it was wise because they added quality talented depth. They can gamble a little here, and I think they did that last year as well when you think about McLean and the Walters, Young and another that escapes me right now. Gambling with the first pick is a little different, though.
    • The depth and versatility of this roster will sink him, IMO. To me, he's a volume player. He's gotta play every night to get into a groove and maximize his potential. We saw that last year once he finally took over 3b for good. Question right now is, is Mateo so lost at the plate (I know he had 2 hits yesterday) right now that we lock in Urias at 3b and Gunnar at SS for a long stretch, or is Gunnar's final destination so likely to be 3b because of the other prospects in our system (not even thinking about Holiday at this moment) that it's not worth giving him the reps there? I think it's probably not worth yanking Gunnar around, but I'm not sure Urias is enough of a SS to do it regularly, and it seems like Fraizer isn't going anywhere any time soon.  Whatever your thoughts are on the above, the real question is, how do we find 20+ PAs a week for Urias?
    • This is a fair thing to say, except it is almost never the case that the team with the best starters wins.  I could easily see a scenario where they instead look for another  elite level reliever and go with the starters that they have.   It worked when they picked up Andrew Miller.  The Orioles beat Scherzer, Verlander, and Price in the playoffs. The starters have actually held their own against the very best teams in the majors.  The issue has been more with the offense.
    • Nice start for Showalter - 3IP, 2H, 6K, 0BB. WHY ISN'T HE IN DELMARVA YET!!!!!
