Just a case of needing an arm badly and he is one of the best you in the system who is not already here. Congrats to Dylan though, hard working kid who deserves his accolades.

Think personally its not a bad idea to have the kid up here for the stretch run. If you believe he is part of the future as the Orioles most certainly do, then experiencing a pennant race is likely good experience. Whatever he does on the field is gravy. I like the Billy Martin quote that Buck quoted in a Yahoo article recently.... "No matter how hard you may try, you cant screw up the great ones" ... That makes a lot of sense to me. Even if he takes some lumps, if he is the real deal, a shutdown ace, he will be fine.

Bundy knows all.

?When I was drafted, my goal was to be in the major leagues before I was 20 years old,? he says. ?My birthday is in November, so I've got to get to work. I knew there was no way it could happen if they shut me down in August.?

Top pitching prospect Dylan Bundy is headed for Seattle and could be there in time for tonight?s series finale against the Mariners at Safeco Field.

Hopefully he makes it in time. We shall see if they even put him in tonight. Why else would you ship him to Seattle if you could fly him to Boston?

I am sure I am alone on my thoughts with Bundy but we are in the race for a play off spot and you bring up an inexperienced young pitcher. I hope he is here for the nigth and isnt used and sent right back to Florida and we see him again next September as a call up after he pitches in aa/aaa next season.

Frequent flyer miles, it is the new market inefficiency.
