That's fine - I have no problem with Nick leading off against lefties. And while I understand lineups don't matter all that much, I just don't see why you wouldn't want to get Davis an extra AB if at all possible.

Because the #3 batter often comes up in the first with 0 on 2 out.

Eh, yeah, solid point. So then bat him 4th so that Jones isn't grounding out and ending the inning if anyone gets on base. But then he's potentially leading off the next inning, and that doesn't do you any good either. So maybe I just argued myself back into Davis hitting 5th. Heh.

I have no issue with Davis leading off an inning.
