6/19: Orioles at Tigers

Manny has a -0.14 wSL/C which basically means he costs the team .14 runs per 100 pitches when sliders are thrown to him. He was 0.85 last year. He's worse against two-seamers (-0.85) and sinkers (-3.12). Just about every hitter has pitches they don't hit well but thankfully, pitchers need other pitches to set them up and Manny hits the hell out of fastballs (3.24), cutters (2.97) and is plus or just about every other pitch. He's fine regardless of the fact that he'll chase a slider for a K occasionally against some good pitchers.

In order to be efficient you need to get outs with few pitches. If you're giving up lots of runs, you arent getting many outs.
