Chen is nothing more then a 80 to 90 pitch pitcher. It's so sad.

You should be no where near the plate on a 0-2 count.

And yet you are supposed to be pitch efficient right?

If you know that a given hitter won't chase a ball in the dirt on 0-2 then there isn't any point in throwing it.

He's supposed to be pitch-efficient.

And, throw strikes.

And, make the opponent swing at bad pitches.

And, not throw bad pitches if they aren't going to swing at them.

And, keep the opponent off the scoreboard.

I really don't understand why this six man rotation thing is a thing. Chen or Gonzo should be in the bullpen, Gausman should be starting in the bigs. Seems simple.

(and there's no way they'd send their $50 million FA signing to the pen, which is why it's Chen or Gonzo)

Buck should have ganked Chen after Bryce lined out to Pearce. If a guy is getting crushed, you need to read the signs. The bullpen is rested with an extra arm. Good god.

I detect past tense in that statement. Also, Norris has arguably been the O's best pitcher this season. One bad start after a return from the DL doesn't make him ineffective.
