What a shame! I remember Big Walter. Could DESTROY baseballs. And he was doing good. Basically school police. Protecting kids. RIP big man.

That's really too bad. He was a huge guy, I'm sure he has right tackle nailed down on the all time Orioles football team. As a baseball player he was kind of a Calvin Pickering without plate discipline.

I never understood why nobody gave him much of a chance at the Major League level. He had an .803 OPS in 37 plate appearances and he didn't make any errors in 54 innings. The sample size was small but he performed well. I'm guessing it was because of how big he was but that seems like a dumb reason because he put up good numbers. Anyway, it's sad to hear that he passed away.

Poor defense. Adam Jones' plate discipline.
