Sounds pretty official that he's gone.

I think if we were the top deal it would have been done days ago. It must be a hard decision for him.

I get the opposite read of that. We'll see.

Hmm, really?

The "....loved pitching in Baltimore," and "....Buck got the best out of him," are both in the past tense.

Like another poster said in this thread, sometimes you have to prioritize. The BP isn't their most pressing need.

Really? It is time to move on from both Darren O'Day and Chris Davis. I love both of them, but the money they are going to get in this market does not make sense for the Orioles. Any long term deal with O'Day is risky given his age. Davis is a tremendous power hitter and a streaky strike out machine. Decent defensively, but not special. Hey, we just got a guy like that in Mark Trumbo. A long term deal at North of 20 million AAV? Are you kidding me?

I just hope that DD can use the resources he has to build a better baseball team. Defense counts. Speed counts. OBP counts. It is possible to get it done, and I am excited about some of the possibilities. But we really need to move on to get better.

    • I'm sure he never would have been able to work a second walk of the game off an actual pitcher.

    • Yeah if he comes to the majors he won’t see a third string catcher.  He might get to see the Yankees backup catcher though like we saw the other night after putting up 15 on them through 8 innings.
    • That would be a very bold trade for Elias, turning one of the better young closers in the game to an outfielder.   I guess they liked his bat coming out of the draft.  lol
    • @sportsfan8703   The Scherzer deal ….would you trade Bautista if the deal included Teodo ( instead of Stephan) and maybe a younger DSL type pitcher?
    • I didn’t realize just how heartbreaking that Game 3 loss was until watching the opening clip.  Good thing my parents didn’t let me stay up to watch that game!
    • J.P. Crawford is hitting .177 against RHP and .293 against LHP this year.   That’s not “slightly skewed”.
