The only reason why Reimold swung at the 1-2 pitch was because the previous pitch was called a strike ...... and shouldn't have been.

Instead of a 2-1 count, it was a 1-2 count.

It really pisses me off when a very disciplined batter with great patience and a very good eye like Reimold gets screwed by the umpire on a plate appearance.

Ted Williams used to say to the home plate umpire, "I'll let you know when it's a strike. I'll swing at it."

When Pete Rose was playing for the Expos in 1984, he was called out on a 3-2 pitch that was a horrible call.

After yelling at the umpire for a few seconds, he ran down to first base and stood on it, as if it was a walk (which it should have been.)

Rose got the thumb, but I thought that it was funny.
