Davies is a solid 5th starter in the National League which is about what I thought of him last season when the trade was made. He will pitch better over there but he doesn't have the stuff to get the big boys out in the American League.

Keep telling yourself that and let Davies keep proving you and his other detractors wrong.

He wouldn't because his stuff is marginal and the middle of the Central is not the same as the middle of the AL East.

Cubs

Those teams score runs but lets not try and compare them with the AL East teams

Davies numbers 3-5 in the lineup.

vs # 3 hitter .333/.462/.667/1.128

vs #4 hitter .350/.500/.650/1.150

vs #5 hitter .381/435//762/1.197

Compared to 8 and 9 hitters

vs #8 hitter .105/.100/.105/.205

vs #9 hitter .188/.222/.250/.472

He is feasting on the bottom of the lineups but the better hitters are destroying him.
