EVERY ONE of these deferrals saves us $$$. Every time.

For the moment, yes.  But in the future, instead of having a million or two in dead money here or there, we're going to have 10M+ in payroll for guys not on the team.

I enjoy being able to point to tangible evidence of a signing being a good risk to help get the Orioles to the playoffs. I don't see that here.
