From looking at the radar, I fully expect that they will play, and hopefully with no delay. -

Tucker has 54 strikeouts through 52 innings with only 16 walks (though that may not include his stats from today of 5ip, 5k, 1bb and 0 ER). He has an era of 2.2 and a whip of 1.12. he’s only allowed 13 earned runs, 3 of which came in his first game of the season and 4 of which came May 30th. Pretty lights out for a guy who had an era of almost 5 and a whip of 1.3 last time he was in aaa (2022). he also has been working as a starter for Norfolk, so clearly can provide length he’s gone 2 or more in 13 of his 18 appearances and 4 or more innings in 6 of his last 7 outings. Wonder if he could have some value in the pen sometime this year. When he was first added, I know the splitter that he started throwing in 2023 was one of the reasons for some optimism, I wonder if that’s the reason for his performance in Norfolk and if it could then carry over into the bigs. -

I doubt that even the biggest Holliday doubters think that’s “who he’ll be going forward.” At most it’s dampened some of the expectations of when he’ll be at least a solid ML starter. -

The throws were pretty routine, but both of those balls were smashed and Mayo was playing in for the second one. While they weren't tough throws, you can see the arm is special. -

Hope Mountcastle is OK. Would really suck for him to get injured when he should be on track to start in the All Star Game. Hopefully precautionary with the series W already in the books. -
We could have brought Mayo to play 1st vs a lefty. I know everyone would love that. Surprised they didn’t put Urias at 1st that way to drive up his trade value.
