You forgot Richie Martin. Not hitting yet but he really is a good SS. ML SS. Seems like he's slowing the game down now. Bordick said "poise" last night. Getting comfortable and his considerable natural talents are starting to shine. All for only $50,000 plus the ML min.

Martin has made some very good plays, but the advanced metrics don’t seem to like him much so far.    -4 Rtot, -3 Rdrs, -0.6 UZR.    I’m happy to be patient with him, but at .172 BA he wouldn’t be up there on my list of positives.

He's definitely better than what we trotted out there during the dark years, but I'm not sure he'll be the starter on the next Orioles playoff team. I'm really hoping he continues to show growth at the plate.

I heard Tony on the Fan this morning and I believe they said he would be on every Thursday with Haynie and Vinnie.  Not sure if it will always be the same time, but was around 1130am today I think....

I don't think he forgot Martin. His bat is awful. Should be a defensive replacement at best. He is currently last (#31 of 31) in MLB among SS (>50 AB) with -0.6 WAR.

Remember that Martin made the jump from AA. It’s really important to watch how he trends. His bat is definitely “learning on the job” but let’s see how it progresses as time goes on. I’m surprised his defensive stats are not better, But defensive stats are counting stats-I think-and there’s very little to go on right now, so I am happy to use the eye test for the moment, and I think he generally looks great.

Still miss Jackson, though.

Speaking of Jackson, he’s now hitting .241/.371/.310 in AAA.    People had cited his stats from his first 4-5 games, but he’s come back to Earth and is hitless in his last four games.     It will be interesting to follow how he does.

Did we lose Jackson because we weren't ready to DFA Wright? That would seem to be a mistake
