When I saw the thread title I immediately thought that he was being released.  Oh well.............. perhaps another day.

 I think there little to no chance he goes sonner than after 2020 season starts.

This is troubling news.  It sounds like he's going to be here for awhile more.

Also sounds like it is out of Elias' hands.  My guess is he had a talk with ownership about Davis over the break.

Ownership wants to be involved in decisions over $20 million or so it seems, I'm OK with that.  If the rumors I heard were true about Peter's wife pushing to re-sign him, then there is no way he is gone at this point.  

With everything else Elias has been allowed to do that were in direct defiance of decrees from Peter, I'll take how this is operating right now 100% of the time.

Davis' performance the last three seasons. Plus Elias didn't exactly seem enthusiastic with his comments on Davis. Seemed more like he was resigned that Davis is going to be on the active roster for now.
