Would you go to a game at Camden Yards this year

  1. 1. If they limited the number of fans to have groups 6 feet apart would you attend a game this year

Nope but it has nothing to do with anything except baseball.  I've been on strike for a few years now simply due to the way the franchise has been run and the sorry state they allowed the team to become.  Things seem to be heading in a better direction so I have hope but they won't get a penny from me until Chris Davis is no longer on the team and some of these young guys they have drafted start to arrive and make it at least interesting to watch.

I’m not sure.    It would sort of depend on what conditions are like In 4-6 weeks.    I’m willing to accept a certain amount of risk in life, but probably not the current level of risk (as perceived by me).

Maryland had a very good week last week and I hope the rate of new cases continues to decline at the pace it currently is.    But I’m not yet confident that it will.

Seems like it is worse in your area than in Baltimore.  I think the increased testing is really helping.  Hopefully we have turned the corner.

I wouldn’t do inside dining at this point but I started doing most everything else a couple of weeks ago.  I figured that depression would more likely kill me than the disease if I continued to stay home.

Heck yeah.

1. It would mean that major league baseball was being played.

2. It would mean that I would be seeing an Orioles game at Camden Yards which, up until then, would not have been the case.

3. At this stage of the rebuild I doubt there would be all that many people anyway after the first week or two, so where do I sign the waiver?

Is it a good idea - or safe - or the right choice for most people?  No.  But I would do it.

When I go to Camden Yards it's about a 200 mile round trip, which means I'm statistically about 50 times more likely to be killed on the road to and from a game than I am to die from Wuhan contracted while I'm at the game.  If they play I'll be there whether I'm the only fan in the park or surrounded by 40,000 others. Baseball is life.

I would have gone before all the BS between MLB and MLBPA.

What's worse is my kids (17, 19, 22), who always went to student night, have no interest in going or even following the team any more.

Congrats, MLB, you've lost the next generation of fans from this family

At this point, I honestly don’t think I would go. I love the O’s and I love OPACY, but I’m still trying to be in as few public places as possible. I’m not necessarily worried about myself, rather some of the potentially vulnerable people I interact with. I’m good with sitting tight a little while longer if even there’s a slight chance it would keep those folks a little safer.

This is how I feel. This year stinks - but if it needs to be done to protect our vulnerable friends, family members, and neighbors - then we need to do it.

Nope.

Live too far.  Even then, give me a couch, my own food, a Belgium tipple or two AC and the ability to turn the game off if it's a dud.

This with one small correction.  And even before Covid.
