Trevor Rogers  )was a 1st-round draft choice out of high school, in 2017. The Marlins gave him a $3.4 Million signing bonus.

On the pitcher's mound, Rogers has recorded 23 Strikeouts in only 15 Innings Pitched so far this season. However, his Walk-rate is also very high ...... he has ceded 10 Free Passes overall (9 Walks and 1 Hit Batsman) in those 15 Innings.

In 7 out of their last 8 games, the Marlins' offense scored a total of 47 runs (an average of 6.7 runs per game) ...... the one exception was when they were shut out by a score of 1-0 by the Giants on Sunday.

Sometimes I wonder if Patrick is just making up some of these full names to see if anyone would notice.

But I don't believe he would do that.

Why Mountcastle instead of Stewart?  Mountcastle is a dreadful defender, and he’s been slumping to boot. Even if righty lefty is a consideration,  Stewart should still be playing.

1) vs a lefty

2) Stewart played last night, while Mountcastle had the night off.   Now 15 hours later it's the other way around.

Perfectly reasonable to me.   Mountcastle could -- potentially -- be the best pure hitter on the team.   You really want him to sit all the time between Sunday and Friday.

Good job Zimmerman pitching out of the jam after the first two guys reached.

I was gonna say. Parked the car just as the Marlins messed up the tag up on the deep fly. By the time I got in the house and turned on the TV they were in commercial. Good job Bruce!

I want to play the hot guys, not play the guys who might get hot.
