Honestly, I'm not seeing much in Leyba - not swayed by his PCL stats.  At 25 (26 in September), not sure there's real upside there.  

Vavra - I'd love to see him promoted to Baltimore to be a super-sub.

Its just so frustrating.  In a season where winning doesn’t matter and you have several players showing you that they are ready, get them up here and let them gain that experience.  
 

It would be one thing if you were just trying to get the MLers playing time for trade purposes but many of the players ahead of these guys suck, so it’s not like they can be traded anyway.

I agree with you here. jones is not a guy you play service clock games with and considering the team is starting Steve Wilkerson at 2B, it's probably time to get him or Leyba up to Baltimore and see what they have.

 Vavra is the much better prospect overall, but Leyba is major league ready. I'd like to see Vavra get the first half in AA and then move up to AAA for the second half. If he does well, he gets an opportunity to compete for the 2B job next spring with Leyba and Jones.

I'm not sure Jones will stick on the grass long-term, but might as well play him instead of Wilkerson.

Leyba is probably nothing more than Wilkerson.  But Franco is nothing this year, so why the hell not see if you have anything with him?

Would like seeing Leyba and Jones come up to play 2B and 3rd. Have them start the season in Baltimore next year until Grenier/Vavra/Ortiz are ready. Which could be midseason or even longer for Ortiz.

Since Franco isn’t getting it done, I’d add Brannon to the group too.

I’d see what McCoy can do too. Especially since Bannon has the oblique issue.

He keeps this up, and he'll force them to promote him.  Maybe he won't succeed in MLB, but he looks the part and seems to have the tools.  I'm always going to favor players with speed who seem to work hard.

The bat looks like it can play in majors now but he has to be able to play 2nd IMO to be a real help.  We can’t have 10 outfielders and no infield players.
