If you go to the Twitter feed that post comes from, he’s also got video of Norby and Hernaiz.   I really like the look of Norby’s swing there, though I’m no expert.

He hasn’t had a ton of at bats in Delmarva but I hope he starts 2022 in Aberdeen.

He’s making a pretty good case so far.   He’s play 13 games at Delmarva, and there are 16 games remaining, so we’ll see how he does.   Gunnar only played 35 games in Delmarva before his promotion, so it’s possible they’d start Mayo at Aberdeen if he finishes well and looks good next spring.    Either way, I’m not too worried about it.

He is 2-4 with a homer and 5 RBIs.

Taking away our top 2 guys, I’m not sure if there is anyone that I am entering the offseason more excited about than Mayo.

I’m going to throw a damp washcloth on all this Mayo euphoria.   He’s definitely got light tower power, that is clearly established.   But I’m not going to judge his hit tool based on 7 low A games and 26 in the FCL.   If he’s still hitting very well when Delmarva’s season ends I’ll consider whether he merits an organizational top 10 prospect spot in our system.

If you scroll way down in that Twitter feed, he refers to the “open camera view” or something like that in a video of another player.

Coby has been impressive, shown power and the ability to walk. Plus, still room to get stronger and bigger. With another off season under a strength program and coaching, could hit more bombs next year.
