Severino just plain stinks.  You have to catch that ball.  I am not one to be critical of Brandon Hyde because of the hand he has been dealt but I question him running him out there 5 out of 7 games.  I know they think he will provide more offense but he hasn't.  I think it sends the wrong message to put up with his defensive catching.

I agree but maybe he knows he is destined for the bullpen.  He continues to start out of necessity.  I would like to see Lopez's arm in the back of the bullpen.  Just go out there and let it go for an inning or two.

Coming in today, Lopez's ERAs in the 4th and 5th innings: 3.00 and 17.47--yes, that's a seventeen! I think Hyde had the stats to use the hook, especially with Soto coming up.
